During the week after work I did a short brick session, I cycled 11 miles and then ran 5 miles at tempo pace.
The cycle I used my B bike to provide extra resistance to the training. As it was not hot or sunny I though I would not need me sunglasses, how wrong that was. There seemed to be flies everywhere, I lost count how many I swallowed or got in my eyes.
My legs felt heavy at the start of the run but I was able to keep the higher than normal tempo pace.The 5 mile run had an easy 1/2 mile section near the end before a hard effort up a hill.
Overall this was a good combined session and I learnt to use sunglasses when out on any cycle ride in the summer months.
