This last 2 weeks I have gradually been reducing the amount of caffeine I consume. Before this it was about 300mg daily which is on the fairly high side.
This week I have gone caffeine free.
I did have a bit of a headache at the end of the first day but that was fine the following morning.
The theory is that when I have the caffeine on the race day it will have a bigger impact and some current research suggests that it may reduce the pain felt in endurance events.
